Our speaker will be Dr. Dan Levitis of Sonoma Ecology Center. We'll discuss how asexual reproduction works in primarily sexual lineages, why it likely fails most of the time, why it persists anyway, and what is known about the few documented instances of avian clonality, including a rare and iconic California bird.
